Problem
For this assignment we were split into pairs and given a topic for an event. My partner and I got an age related trade show for older and retired adults. The objective of this project was to create an engaging and cohesive design system for a specific client.
Solution
We began with designing the identity. We decided to have an event for seniors revolving around being in community with one another, as it can be easy to become isolated. This event would hold different workshops they could try with the end goal of having them attend regularly. We had to consider that this identity needed to be completely accessible for all and not hard to understand. For the logo we focused on ideas around positivity, community, and relationships. We decided to go with the name "Thrive". The second part of this assignment was to create a catalogue based on this established design system and identity. The catalogue was to be given to people attending the event. It includes a schedule and explanations of the events they would be attending.
